About Dyspraxia Dialogues
Dyspraxia Dialogues is a community group which exists to support and inform those affected by dyspraxia (Developmental Coordination Disorder) as well as to raise awareness of dyspraxia. We offer peer support groups, both face to face in Norwich and Norfolk and online for adults across the UK with a diagnosis or self-diagnosis of dyspraxia. Receiving a diagnosis or living with difference can be a lonely experience, so we provide a place to make friends who understand. Whether you'd like to join a Zoom call for support or one of our social meetups at a local park, café or ice cream parlour, we would love to meet you.

Dyspraxia Dialogues is also passionate about increasing dyspraxia awareness by helping individuals and organisations understand the condition better, so that they are equipped to more effectively work with and understand adults, children and young people with dyspraxia. We offer Dyspraxia Awareness Training and CPD to UK charities, businesses and any other interested groups including clubs/societies and family groups (minimum group size is 3 people). Please enquire by email if this would interest you. Individuals can join courses as well - please email to enquire.

Dyspraxia (Developmental Coordination Disorder) is a neurodevelopmental disorder and a type of neurodivergence. It is classed as a specific learning difficulty as well as a physical disability. It is very common yet not well understood, although awareness is growing. Dyspraxia affects fine and gross motor control, balance, spatial awareness, coordination and planning. It is by no means limited to physical symptoms and movement, as it also affects many other areas of daily life. For an easy way to understand and communicate to others the basics of dyspraxia, we can recommend the children's book Priya, A Panda with Dyspraxia, by Jo North at Shine Books, who kindly donate 10% of the sales of this book to us.
Dyspraxia Dialogues was founded in 2023 by Catherine who facilitates the dyspraxia peer support groups. She had a late diagnosis of dyspraxia in lockdown and since then has wanted to provide support and raise awareness of dyspraxia to help others. Catherine is a BACP Accredited counsellor, coach and EMDR practitioner and works as an Associate Lecturer at The Open University, where she has contributed to neurodiversity research.

Training Testimonials
The training delivered by Catherine and Chloe from Dyspraxia Dialogues was very well presented and really informative. The sharing of their own personal experiences was hugely valuable and gave me an insight into the complexities of dyspraxia and how it presents itself both similarly and differently in individuals. I am confident that the knowledge and understanding I have gained from this training will prove to be of great benefit in my work with clients who may be exploring a possible diagnosis of dyspraxia, or who are already living with a confirmed diagnosis - Sarah Bartholomew, Assistant Director at The Norwich Centre for Personal, Professional and Spiritual Development

It has really increased my awareness, understanding and knowledge of dyspraxia! It will be so helpful in my work with clients and just anyone close to me in my life. Very well presented and interactive and I loved the personal touch of you adding in your own lived experience. Thank you! - Laura Patton, Counsellor

This training was inspiring! I've learned so much about dyspraxia from this course. Lightbulb moments for me, realising my own experience maps well for a dyspraxia diagnosis. I feel seen! - Laura Middleton, Counsellor & Trauma Psychotherapist

So much is still to be learned about neurodiversity and even with a dyspraxic step-daughter for 20 years the training helped me realise how much I still don't understand...and that probably she doesn't understand either! Thank you! -
Sue Simpkin, Counsellor & Psychotherapist
